- Salesforce REST API over an OAuth 2.0 connected app installed by your Salesforce administrator. Field mapping is configured in ELIXIR CONSUMERS, so it works with standard NPSP objects, Nonprofit Cloud fundraising objects or custom grant objects. API access requires a Salesforce edition that includes it.
Salesforce orgs running Nonprofit Cloud or the Nonprofit Success Pack usually hold institutional funders as accounts and grant asks as opportunity or gift commitment records. ELIXIR CONSUMERS reads those records through the Salesforce REST API, links each one to a proposal workspace, and writes back stage, submitted amount and report due dates to fields your administrator chooses.
