File package export. JustGrants has no third-party write API, so ELIXIR CONSUMERS produces the narrative PDF, budget justification text organized by the DOJ budget categories and an attachment checklist for the Application Submitter. Opportunity data for DOJ solicitations is read from the public Grants.gov APIs. Award documents and special conditions you upload are parsed for reporting dates.

DOJ applications for OJP, OVW and COPS programs are filed in two steps: the SF-424 and SF-LLL in Grants.gov, then the full application in JustGrants. ELIXIR CONSUMERS drafts the program narrative, budget detail worksheet justification and required attachments for the JustGrants step, and keeps a calendar of the performance reports and federal financial reports due after award. Your Entity Administrator and Application Submitter do the filing.

Grant workflows it powers

  • Plan a BJA or OVW application with the Grants.gov SF-424 date and the later JustGrants date on one timeline, so the first deadline is never missed.
  • Reuse an agency description, organizational capacity section and past-award history across several DOJ solicitations in the same season.
  • Turn quarterly program counts into the narrative portion of a performance report instead of rewriting it from memory.

Data security posture

  • No JustGrants or DOJ login.gov credentials are stored.
  • Victim services and justice data stay in your tenant with role-based access, so case-level records can be kept out of drafting workspaces entirely.
  • Exports and edits are written to an immutable audit log that a grants manager can hand to a monitor.

Questions, answered

Does ELIXIR CONSUMERS file in JustGrants for me?

No. Your Application Submitter files in JustGrants. ELIXIR CONSUMERS prepares the narrative, budget justification and attachments so that step is upload and review, not writing.

Why does ELIXIR CONSUMERS show two deadlines for one DOJ solicitation?

DOJ uses a two-step process. The SF-424 and SF-LLL go to Grants.gov first, usually days before the JustGrants deadline for the full application. Missing the first date usually ends the application.

Does it cover COPS and OVW as well as OJP?

Yes. All three DOJ grant-making components use JustGrants, and ELIXIR CONSUMERS parses their solicitations the same way.
