- Inbound only, through the public SAM.gov Entity Management API using an api.data.gov key issued to your SAM.gov user account. ELIXIR CONSUMERS reads public entity data. Registration renewals and updates are done by your Entity Administrator in SAM.gov; ELIXIR CONSUMERS does not write to SAM.gov.
An expired SAM.gov registration blocks a federal application and can hold up drawdowns on an existing award. ELIXIR CONSUMERS looks up your entity in the SAM.gov Entity Management API, stores the UEI, legal business name, physical address and registration expiration date, and warns you when the expiry falls before a proposal deadline or inside the next 60 days.

No. Renewal has to be completed by your Entity Administrator in SAM.gov. ELIXIR CONSUMERS tells you when it is coming due.
How often does a SAM.gov registration expire?
Registrations must be renewed every 365 days. ELIXIR CONSUMERS reads the exact expiration date from your record instead of estimating it.
Do I need a special API key?
You need a public api.data.gov key, which any SAM.gov user can generate from their account profile. Setup takes a few minutes.
